Books are meant to be an investment, not an expense.

It all started with one idea:

Books are meant to be an investment, not an expense.

This is the premise behind BookBack.

Today, after a little over a year’s worth of work, it’s finally out in stores. And we’re really proud of that.

To the people saying:

You can’t… there’s already Facebook and Kijiji and Amazon marketplaces.

You can’t… books are getting digitized.

You can’t.

Well, we did.

For the students looking to cut costs;

University fees and student living is already expensive as it is. Save what you can by getting the same textbooks for way less, at a discounted price. Once you’re done with them, sell them back to the market using the app. It’s that simple!

For the book lovers out there with jammed bookshelves;

If you’re like us, your shelves are probably overloaded with books – some new, some old, and some that you just want to get rid of. You can use the app to sell books you really no longer want and use the money to buy things you may need (possibly new books!).

This is BookBack

And it basically works like this

Want to sell a book?

  1. Scan The Barcode
  2. Edit and post
  3. Meet up
  4. Make the exchange

Want to buy a book?

  1. Search by title or author for the book you want
  2. Chat with the seller
  3. Meet up
  4. Buy the book at a discount and save money

Even easier.

Bottom line, you’re either making money or saving it.

Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think in the reviews!
